PUBLICATION POLICY The International Conference on Technical and Physical Problems of Engineering (ICTPE) is committed to the highest standards of publication ethics, transparency, and quality. This policy sets out the principles guiding manuscript submission, peer review, authorship, copyright, and overall editorial process.
1. Scope and Originality - ICTPE accepts original, unpublished manuscripts that contribute significantly to engineering and technical sciences. - Submissions must not have been published previously or be under consideration elsewhere, including journals, conferences, or repositories. - Authors are responsible for ensuring the novelty of their work and avoiding duplicate publication.
2. Authorship - Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research. - All listed authors must approve the final manuscript and agree to its submission. - Any changes in authorship after submission require written consent of all authors and approval by the Editor-in-Chief.
3. Peer Review Process - All submissions undergo double-blind peer review by at least two independent experts. - Reviewers evaluate originality, technical quality, clarity, and relevance. - Editors make final decisions based on reviewers’ comments, conference scope, and ethical standards. - Review timelines and expected durations are communicated to authors; typical first decision time is 4-8 weeks.
4. Editorial Responsibilities - Editors evaluate manuscripts fairly and confidentially, avoiding conflicts of interest. - The editorial team ensures decisions are based solely on academic merit and relevance. - Editors oversee the peer review process and uphold publication ethics.
5. Plagiarism Policy - All submissions are screened for plagiarism using reliable detection software. - Manuscripts with unacceptable levels of similarity or evidence of copied material will be rejected. - Authors are responsible for proper citation and attribution of sources.
6. Open Access Policy - ICTPE is an open-access conference. All articles are freely available online without subscription fees. - Authors retain copyright of their work and articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY) unless stated otherwise.
7. Copyright and Licensing - Authors grant ICTPE the right to publish, reproduce, and distribute their work globally. - The copyright remains with the authors, allowing redistribution and reuse with proper attribution.
8. Conflict of Interest - Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose any financial, personal, or professional conflicts that could influence the work or its evaluation. - A conflict of interest disclosure statement is required with all submissions.
9. Data Availability and Transparency - Authors should make underlying data available for review and replication where possible. - A Data Availability Statement is encouraged to specify how readers can access supporting data.
10. Ethical Oversight - ICTPE adheres to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Core Practices. - Suspected misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data falsification) will be investigated in accordance with COPE guidelines.
11. Corrections, Retractions, and Withdrawals - ICTPE is committed to maintaining the integrity of the academic record. - Errors identified post-publication will be corrected via errata or corrigenda. - Articles may be retracted in cases of proven misconduct or major errors.
12. Digital Preservation Policy - ICTPE ensures long-term preservation of published articles through secure archiving on conference servers. - Plans to integrate third-party archiving services (e.g., LOCKSS, CLOCKSS) are part of the conference’s future strategy.
13. Author Responsibilities - Authors must ensure submissions meet ethical standards, including compliance with guidelines for studies involving human or animal subjects. - Authors are responsible for accurate and complete citations of all referenced works. - Authors must respond promptly to editorial and peer review communications.
14. Reviewer Responsibilities - Reviewers should evaluate manuscripts objectively, confidentially, and free of bias. - Reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest and refrain from using unpublished data for personal advantage.
15. Publication Fees- ICTPE charges a publication fee only upon the acceptance of a manuscript. - There are no submission fees; authors are free to submit their papers for peer review without any initial cost. - The publication fee covers editorial processes, peer review management, online hosting, website maintenance, indexing, and long-term archiving. - Authors will receive the payment instructions. Payment must be completed for the manuscript to proceed to final production. - ICTPE does not charge any additional fees for color figures, supplementary materials, or open access - the publication fee is all-inclusive. - Discounts or waivers may be considered in exceptional cases for authors from low-income countries or with demonstrated financial hardship, subject to editorial considerations and approval. |
